ASTROWORLD out of this world?

On Friday August 3, Travis Scott released his third studio album "Astroworld." With contributions from James Blake, Pharrell, Tame Impala, The Weeknd, John Mayer (just to name a few) this highly anticipated drop was expected to be his best work yet. As usual, Travis' production does not disappoint, in fact its OUTSTANDING. The album is cohesive and flows with purpose, but lyrically, it was mediocre even for Travis who isn't considered a "lyrical" rapper. While Scott opted to include "Butterfly Effect" on the album (a single released last summer), he also decidedly left out "Too Many Chances" a Soundcloud release that, in my opinion, should've made the album. My most honorable mention goes to "Coffee Bean" a track I can't seem to shake. Produced by Nineteen85, the song is reminiscent of Kanye's "White Dress," filled with remorse and anxiety over things in his life, this is Travis' most lyrical song on the album.
If there's one artist (or two), that seem to be missing from this album it's Young Thug and Future. Their influence is heavy on this album, almost so much that I wonder if this had been an album released by them, would it have sounded better to my ears?
